February 16, 2024Homebase Credit Union this week celebrated the grand opening of its third branch office. Located at 13200 Bermuda Orchard Ln, Chester, VA 23836, the office is dedicated to retired CEO Patsy Stuard, who served the credit union for 45 years.

- Virginia-Based CUs Make Newsweek's List of Best FIs for 2024
February 13, 2024Three Virginia-based credit unions have made Newsweek's list of best credit unions and regional banks for 2024: Central Virginia Federal Credit Union, DuPont Community Credit Union and Virginia Credit Union. League associate member Eastman Credit Union, based in Tennessee, also made the list.
- ABNB Awards $3,000 to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore
February 13, 2024ABNB Federal Credit Union recently donated $3,000 to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. The donation was part of ABNB’s grand opening celebration at its new Wards Corner branch located at 129 W. Little Creek Road in Norfolk. The credit union's Regional Branch Manager, Deon McGill, officially presented this funding award to support the vital work of the Foodbank in our community.

- Henrico Federal Credit Union Celebrates the Opening of the Financial Empowerment Center
February 6, 2024Henrico Federal Credit Union will today celebrate the grand opening of the Financial Empowerment Center located in Regency Mall. The Financial Empowerment Center opened in partnership with Henrico County Public Schools in 2023. Mini workshops were offered in the summer of 2023, covering subjects ranging from Banking Budgets to Understanding Probate. The program has now evolved into full-time Personal Finance classes offered weekly with the support of the HCPS Adult Education Center.
- Chartway Promise Foundation’s February “Give with All Your Heart” Campaign Sends Message of Hope to Medically Fragile Children
February 1, 2024Foundation also partnering with local charity to grant wishes for two Promise Heroes.
Throughout February, Chartway and its charitable arm – the Chartway Promise Foundation – invite credit union members and the public to “Give with All Your Heart” to help make wishes come true for medically fragile children and their families. Beginning February 1 and running through February 29, Chartway Credit Union members can make donations through their Chartway account.
