Duties:

US Senate FCU is looking for a Member Engagement Assistant. The Member Engagement Assistant works closely with the Vice President of Marketing & Membership/Business Development to grow relationships and foster engagement with USSFCU SEGs, members & businesses. This is demonstrated through financial wellness, Credit Union awareness and member/SEG engagement events (virtual and in-person). Deepening engagement through in-person and virtual events will result in more meaningful and longer-lasting member relationships. Additionally, it further reinforces the Credit Union as their financial leader and places us front and center in front of the communities we serve.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, manage and implement all member, SEG and business-facing engagement events. These events can be a small as a 5-person webinar or as large as our all-day Annual Meeting event attended by up to 500 members.
  • Work closely with our financial wellness and advisory partners to deepen relationships, create goodwill and strengthen partnerships with members, SEGs and businesses through financial wellness events, initiatives and activities.
  • Supports member/business development efforts to achieve new Core member growth by coordinating and co-hosting membership drives, info sessions and workshops with SEGs and businesses.
  • Foster community engagement by coordinating with community organizations on events, sponsorships and activities.
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining and organizing all of our giveaways.
  • Ability to articulate the Credit Union movement, the USSFCU difference, the USSFCU brand and the benefits of USSFCU products and services that results in deeper and more meaningful relationships among members, Select Employee Groups and community organizations, including nonprofits.
  • Coordinate with the NCUA to onboard new SEGs as well as maintain and cleanup existing SEG info.
  • Work with the member/business development team in guiding any interested and board-approved businesses through the process of becoming a SEG.
  • Manage and maintain member relationship survey, & lead generating platforms.
  • Builds and maintains a comprehensive and up-to-date portfolio of member, SEG, business and community contacts with whom the credit union engages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including monthly reporting.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Education:     A high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:   1-3 years’ of similar or related experience in marketing, communications, Public Relations, Event Planning or business development.

Skills:             Passion for facilitation with experience and can use a variety of channels, i.e. virtual, in-person, online tools, etc., to deliver programs, activities, sessions, etc. Excellent motivational and interpersonal skills with the ability to “lead” in a non?supervisory capacity. Strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills and effective activity/event coordination required. Ability to represent USSFCU professionally at corporate-sponsored or community activities and interact effectively with and present to various audiences, including members, business community leaders and partner?employees through a variety of channels. Ability to be a self?starter and manage multiple tasks and projects in a collaborative team environment.

Additional:     Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and early morning hours. While there will be an opportunity to work remotely at times, this position will be a mostly in-office/on-site position.
