League Hosting Legislative Receptions in Richmond, Roanoke, Waynesboro, Hampton Roads in August; Register Now

Your League is hosting legislator receptions in Roanoke, Richmond and Greater Hampton Roads in August. These events are free to attend, but we do ask that you register to aid us in planning.

• The Richmond event is Aug. 4 at the Credit Union House of Virginia (108 N 8th St., Richmond, VA 23219). Event time is 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Register here
• The Roanoke event is Aug. 17 at Twisted Track Brewpub (523 Shenandoah Ave. NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). Event time is 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Register here
• The Waynesboro event has been postponed.
• The Hampton Roads event is planned for Aug. 23 at BayPort CU (One Bayport Way, Newport News, VA 23606). Event time is 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Register here.

"These legislator receptions bring together credit unions and lawmakers in a more relaxed setting in which to discuss our issues," notes League Director of Grassroots Programs and Political Fundraising CeJae Vtipilson. "Building good working relationships with lawmakers is our surest path to success in Richmond and that begins with us getting to know our lawmakers."
