Our Premier State-Level Advocacy Event is Back! Join Us Jan. 18 for CU Day at the General Assembly

Credit Union Day at the Virginia General Assembly returns on Jan. 18, and we need you in Richmond! We're looking for at least 200 credit union champions to join us as we educate state lawmakers about the "Credit Union Difference.”

We'll host an informational webinar on Jan. 11 to cover Credit Union Day logistics, as well as any other legislation of interest to CUs.

League Comments on NCUA's Move to Simplify Share Insurance Rules; Opposes Agency's Interest in New Recordkeeping Requirement

Your League this week submitted comments on NCUA's proposed amendments for regulations governing share insurance coverage. While generally supportive of most aspects of the proposal, we did express concerns regarding the agency’s interest in implementing a new “recordkeeping” measure currently required of the nation’s largest banks. That FDIC rule requires covered banks to calculate the insured and uninsured amount in each deposit account.

NCUA’s Second Chance/Fair Hiring Rule (Jan. 8)
NCUA’s Revisions to Info Collection for Large CU Stress Testing ($10 billion or more in assets) (Jan. 25)
FTC’s rulemaking on fees (Feb. 7)
Federal Reserve’s Debit Interchange Fees (Feb. 12)
NCUA’s Overhead Transfer Rate (Feb. 20).
