Sen. Mason, Del. Batten Welcome IGNITE Attendees to Williamsburg

Amanda BattenPhoto: Del. Amanda Batten addresses credit unions at IGNITE 2023. We were pleased to welcome Sen. Monte Mason and Del. Amanda Batten to IGNITE 2023! Both lawmakers joined us for a reception on May 24 at the Williamsburg Lodge.

“We appreciate our lawmakers welcoming us to Williamsburg for IGNITE and the 89th Annual Meeting of the League,” said League President/CEO Carrie Hunt.

Sen. Mason represents the current 1st Senate District (soon to be the 24th). During his 10 years in the legislature, he has worked to improve infrastructure and transportation, supported small businesses, and fought to improve the child welfare system and education. He has served as a member of the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee, the key committee for credit union and financial services legislation.

Sen, Monte MasonPhoto: Sen. Monte Mason shared his appreciation for the work of credit unions. Del. Batten serves the current 96th House District (soon to be the 71st). Elected in 2019, she has worked on various public elementary and secondary education issues, higher education legislation and consumer finance issues. She has served as a member of the House Commerce and Energy Committee, the key committee for credit union and financial services legislation. She also serves as House Majority Caucus Chair.
