VACUL Celebrates Exceptional Marketing Excellence of Virginia Credit Unions

The Virginia Credit Union League is thrilled to honor the remarkable marketing achievements of its member credit unions who have earned the distinguished Diamond Awards from the America’s Credit Unions (ACU) Marketing & Business Development Council. These awards signify the pinnacle of marketing innovation and showcase the effective campaigns that resonate within the credit union industry and with their communities.

We proudly recognize the following VACUL member credit unions as 2024 Diamond Award recipients:

  • 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union for its insightful Annual Report and engaging One-Time Event, highlighted by their community-centric Pickleball Tournament to bolster the 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union Foundation.
  • BayPort Credit Union for its strategic Public Relations category win, celebrating the promotion of their significant $500,000 ACT Grant initiative, which emphasizes education and workforce development in renewable energy.
  • Chartway Credit Union for achieving a Category’s Best Diamond Award in Public Relations with their pediatric cancer awareness campaign, along with honors for their informative branded research and the comprehensive 2022 Annual Report.
  • Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union received Category’s Best for Corporate Rebrand on a budget of $1,500! Their rebranding initiative, aimed at reflecting their dedication to the tri-cities and Richmond, incorporated street art to resonate with their urban setting, embodying their culture and commitment to social justice and equality.
  • Spectra Credit Union has been recognized with two Diamond Awards: one for the ‘Blossom Certificate Campaign’ in the Complete Campaign category, and another for ‘Brilliant Kids Club’ in the Membership Marketing category. The ‘Blossom Certificate Campaign’ aligned the launch of their high-rate certificates with the springtime, symbolically tying in the seasonal growth to financial prosperity.

Each of these credit unions demonstrates an outstanding commitment to excellence, setting a benchmark for the industry and paving the way for future creative endeavors. The awarded initiatives reflect a rich diversity in marketing brilliance, from educational programs and engaging community events to comprehensive campaigns that effectively communicate the value proposition of credit unions.

As we celebrate 30 years of the Diamond Awards and the exceptional marketing work produced by credit unions, we applaud our Virginia credit unions for their dedication and the exceptional quality of their submissions among the 1,451 entries nationwide.
