Duties:

The Virginia Credit Union League is a vibrant trade association that serves the needs of Virginia credit unions by advocating for change, by helping them serve their members with modern business solutions, and by providing an avenue for networking.

We are seeking a director of business development and membership to determine the needs of all our members and serve those needs. You are a concierge - conducting outreach and connecting our members to our resources; helping our team fill in gaps; and being the biggest cheerleader for credit unions. The Director will be designing engagement plans for the rest of the team; ensuring that our members know and can use our services and offerings and connecting our members with our business solutions. We will train you in what you need to know, but we need someone who is proactive, energetic, and willing to do whatever is in our members’ best interests. This is a great entry level role for a business graduate who wants to learn how to build connections, learn trade associations, and learn how to design and execute business plans.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical proficiency skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to collaborate on various projects across departments.
