At the Virginia Credit Union League (VACUL) we are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization. Diversity encompasses all the characteristics, experiences, and cultural influences that make each person unique. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, unique capabilities, and talents play a significant part of VACUL’s culture and reputation.
Equity seeks to ensure fair treatment, equality of opportunity, and that all VACUL employees and volunteers are offered access to information and resources. We believe this is only possible in an environment built on respect and dignity.
Inclusion fosters communication, cooperation, teamwork and participation, and representation of all groups and perspectives. VACUL initiatives that foster inclusion of those with diverse characteristics ensure that all voices are heard and builds a culture of belonging. We believe that not one person can or should be called upon to represent the entire credit union community.
