League Offers Education Scholarships For CUs Under $15 Million in Assets
The Virginia Credit Union League Board of Directors is pleased to announce the continuation of the Scholarship Program for small credit unions for 2008. Credit unions that are $15 million and under in assets are eligible for this scholarship program to assist in their continuing education. The Board has set aside $10,000 for this purpose.
Scholarships are available for employees and/or volunteers from affiliated credit unions. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of need (the ability of the applicant’s credit union to provide financially). Scholarship dollars may be awarded for registration fees to League sponsored or endorsed conferences.
Lodging may be reimbursed for conferences that are more than 100 miles from your credit union. Scholarship funds are limited to a maximum of $500 per request and each credit union is limited to one winning application each year. Awarded funds will be disbursed after vouchers for actual expenses are submitted.
