VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, February 18, 2010—Chartway's We Promise Foundation is offering 1,250 chances to win a year of free groceries.
All proceeds will benefit children in our community that are struggling with life-threatening illnesses. The tickets will be sold through April 13, 2010 and this fundraising event will award one lucky person $5,200 in FREE groceries from Farm Fresh Supermarkets.
Since its inception, the We Promise Foundation has sought new ways to raise awareness and raise money for children with degenerative and life threatening illnesses. This year our Free Groceries raffle will give one lucky winner a refrigerator full of food throughout the year and it will serve a greater purpose; to raise funds to help children realize their dreams.
We Promise’s dedication to community outreach and advocacy recently earned recognition as “Best in the Nation” by the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Recognition Award Program. For the second year in a row, the foundation received the pinnacle honor for service and fundraising within the credit union community.
“We’re always excited to give back to the community while we increase awareness about our organization. A grocery bill will be one less thing one lucky member will have to worry about this year,” stated We Promise Chairman, Phil Richards.
This fundraiser is open to the public and tickets can be purchased for $20.00 each at all Chartway Federal Credit Union Branches. The drawing will be held at 2PM EST on April 15, 2010 at Charway’s corporate headquarters located at 160 Newtown Road, Virginia Beach VA 23462. Winner need not be present to win.
