aSmarterChoice: Consumers Continue to Show Interest in Credit Unions

Can consumer find you on aSmarterChoice.org? Nearly 22,000 visits were made to aSmarterChoice.org in March, with the total number of searches rising to nearly 20,000.

Nearly 22,000 visits were made to aSmarterChoice.org in March, with the total number of searches rising to nearly 20,000. March proved to be the strongest month of the first quarter which ended with aSmarterChoice drawing nearly 60,000 visits and a total of nearly 51,000 credit union searches.

These are encouraging numbers we plan to build on. Beginning this month, there is a new addition to the efforts being made to help increase the number of visitors to aSmarterChoice.org. CUNA has included aSmarterChoice in a huge credit union promotional opportunity that tag teams perfectly with the programs currently underway: the advertising campaign on Google that is showing great promise and the website retooling to enhance search engine optimization.

Here’s a brief rundown of each...

aSmartChoice.org premieres in Times Square

On Monday, April 15, people walking along the Great White Way towards Times Square can look up and see 'aSmarterChoice.org' on the iconic CBS videoboard. CUNA is promoting credit union memberships from now thru mid-July to the million of  locals and tourists that visit Times Square each spring and summer.

CUNA’s videoboard ad for aSmarterChoice will appear over an eight-week period while New York City celebrates such high-profile events as the Tribeca Film Festival, Memorial Day, the AIDS Walk, Father’s Day and Independence Day. Not to mention, it will be up and running when thousands of credit union representatives visit The Big Apple June 30 – July 4 during CUNA’s America’s Credit Union Conference. Google AdWord Campaign

The "AdWords" campaign on  the Google Search engine is proceeding nicely. The first month results are encouraging with 3,000 people clicking to the two landing pages, resulting in over 1,400 people clicking through to the site itself. The campaign will run through May.
