NEWPORT NEWS, VA–Langley Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce Curtis Baker as Senior Vice President of Lending. Baker will develop and lead Langley’s overall Consumer and Business lending strategy.
“Curtis’ background and expertise will not only add but complement our existing senior management team,” said LFCU President/CEO Tom Ryan. “I am confident in his ability to guide our lending department as we become the preferred lender in the Hampton Roads area.”
Baker has a diverse background, having begun his career as a CPA before taking a position at Citadel FCU, a $1.9 billion credit union near Philadelphia, PA. He has overseen Consumer, Real Estate Lending, and Collections. In his most recent role at Citadel, Baker was the Chief Risk Officer and played a significant part in driving the organization’s Lending Strategy.
In addition to his CPA designation, Baker earned an MBA from Eastern University with a concentration in Finance and Master in Business Intelligence from St. Joseph’s University.
