Woodbridge, VA, December 27, 2012 - Belvoir Federal Credit Union sends out a video message from the CEO urging members to contact their Congressional Representatives and Senators to make concessions and build a consensus as it relates to the tax increases and spending cuts that will automatically go into effect January 1, 2013 unless an agreement can be reached.

In the video message posted on Belvoir Federal’s Web site and social networks, Patricia Kimmel, Belvoir Federal’s CEO, asks members to call and email their representative and tell them to honor the reason they were elected.

If representatives can come to an arrangement, then higher taxes, a reduction of defense budgets, and termination of extended employee benefits will not be a threatening matter.

Patricia Kimmel states, “It is not about the party you represent, but rather, it’s about America and saving our economy, reputation, and more importantly – our future. The United States is a great nation and we deserve better.”

The video’s message asks members to request legislators to take charge of the economy and resolve this matter once and for all as opposed to implementing another temporary solution.

Together, Belvoir Federal and the members hope to encourage their representatives to keep America great by not going over the Fiscal Cliff.
