Argent Credit Union awarded two $2,500 Ruby A. Robinson Scholarships to Nolan Derr and Matthew Reichert during our Annual Meeting on Monday, May 5, 2014. This fall, Nolan Derr will be attending the College of William and Mary and Matthew Reichert will be attending the University of Virginia.

Chesterfield, VA,May 5, 2014 – Argent Credit Union awarded two $2,500 Ruby A. Robinson Scholarships to deserving young credit union members for academic, leadership and community involvement achievement.
The two recipients this year are Matthew Reichert and Nolan Derr.
Matthew Reichert attends Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies. Matthew will be attending the University of Virginia in the fall where he plans to double major, coupling science and business degrees.
Nolan Derr attends Mathematics and Science High School at Clover Hill and plans to attend the College of William and Mary where he will explore several fields of study before declaring a major, strengthening his leadership and critical thinking skills.
The Credit Union’s scholarships have been designed to commemorate 30 years Ruby A. Robinson dedicated to the Credit Union as one of the first employees. Argent Credit Union has awarded a total of $139,000 in scholarships since the program’s inception in 1993.
